Special Children Society of Ampang

Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Ampang (Special Children Society of Ampang) was initiated by parents for children with special needs. They highlighted the need for a supplementary educational programme. Our parents feel that more can be done to improve their children’s performance – not only academically – but also socially. Our parents and teachers are deeply concerned by the lack of recreational and rehabilitative activities available in their neighbourhood for children with special learning needs.

Our continuous involvement in developing this centre makes it one of the most innovative, creative and advanced service in our area, aimed at meeting the educational and social needs of children with special needs.

Our programme provides equal opportunities for academic and functional living skills. These opportunities improve social networks and minimalise the loneliness and social isolation of children with learning disabilities.
