English Learning Center

The English Learning Center is a program of Our Saviour's Community Services, a community-based nonprofit. We provide English (ESL), math, citizenship, computer and reading classes as well as advocacy to adult immigrants and refugees in the Phillips neighborhood of South Minneapolis.

Currently the English Learning Center serves over 400 adult students each year. It has become a well-known community center for immigrants and refugees from all around the world. We are a volunteer-based organization: over 100 volunteers teach all the program classes. This incredible volunteer commitment makes our program very cost effective. The cross-cultural exchange that is made possible at the English Learning Center is an opportunity for personal growth for everyone involved.
