Granja de los Niños: Farm of the Children - At Casa Guatemala, we believe in the power of agriculture to transform lives. Our farm isn't just about growing food; it's about fostering nutritional education, empowering communities, and building a sustainable future. Through permaculture principles, we're creating gardens that serve as vibrant showcases of diverse, nutrient-rich crops in our region of Rio Dulce that are essential for combating dietary deficiencies prevalent in many local villages.
We are looking for a FARM COORDINATOR to help us grow, manage our volunteer farm team and improve operations. They will work with the CG DIRECTOR to design the garden, oversee the build and installation and lead the farm volunteers in planting and tending the garden beds. Knowledge about soil testing, irrigation, and tropical growing practices is an asset.
By participating in the Granja de los Niños, you're not just tending to plants; you're sowing the seeds of positive change. Become a part of a growing network dedicated to ecological sustainability and economic empowerment. Through collaboration and shared knowledge, we're forging connections that extend far beyond our gardens.
We hope that the farm coordinator has experience in regenerative farming practices, planting, irrigation, building raised beds, seedlings and more. Spanish is an asset!
