Idealist HR Services and Events

Action Without Borders/Idealist.org offers numerous services and events directly supporting the nonprofit human resources professional. First, be sure to subscribe to our e-newsletter, Idealist.org Nonprofit Human Resources Monitor, to get the latest news, resources and tools to support your career and organization.

On Idealist.org you are able to post jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities, list events, start or find local networking groups of nonprofit professionals, add representatives from your organization to the speakers database, and much more. Start now by signing up today.

To further support and facilitate nonprofit human resources professionals we offer a series of Idealist Nonprofit Career Fairs. These events take place throughout the United States, allowing organizations and job seekers to meet face-to-face and talk about current and future opportunities, be they jobs, volunteer positions, or internships.

Currently, we are planning for the Third National Nonprofit HR Conference in 2008. (Visit the conference section for updated information.) The Nonprofit Human Resources Center arose out of two national conferences we coordinated in 2003 and 2004. In 2003, we held the First National Nonprofit HR Conference in Philadelphia, PA, a landmark event and the first of its kind in the United States. In June 2004, the Second National Nonprofit HR Conference was held in Portland, OR and out of several hundred attendees, many were repeat participants who traveled from the East Coast.

Another way we support your work is through our Consultant Directory, you can search for nonprofit consultants in your area. Consultants, vendors, and freelancers who have joined the directory provide a wide range of services relevant to nonprofit needs.
