Description:

"Wo ist Zigeunerland" ("Where is Gypsy-Land?") is an Internet project to spread knowledge about the history and culture of Roma (Rroma) and Sinti, the people otherwise dubbed Gypsies, Gitans, Gitanos, Czigany, Zigeuner etc. who constitute the greatest national minority in Europe. This group is still subject to open and hidden discrimination, often harassed and even assaulted physically. In order to help dissolve prejudice and to counter the allegations spread by racist groups and political parties it is necessary to spread knowledge about this people's history and to offer insight into their culture and ways of life.
