OVERVIEW

Building Tomorrow, Inc. (BT), an Indianapolis-based, international social-profit organization empowering young people to raise funds and awareness to undertake educational infrastructure projects benefiting underserved children in sub-Saharan Africa invites interested individuals to apply for our semester-long intern positions.

Started in 2006, BT currently works with a growing network of over 20 collegiate chapters and hundreds of high schools to directly support the construction of new BT Academies throughout rural Uganda. Each BT Academy is constructed through the gift of a challenge grant by a donor community, and matched with 25,000 hours of donated labor by community members and parents of future students. To date, BT has built four Academies, providing classroom space for nearly 1,250 students.

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

+ Be a current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
+ Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Have experience using basic office software suites including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
+ A flexible schedule enabling one to work 20 hours a week.

Individual & Foundation Support Intern

Work with BT staff to enhance our efforts in cultivating and maintaining individual and foundation support.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Assisting in the maintenance and updating of BT’s donor database
*Formulating new giving campaigns
*Researching potential funding sources
*Planning an annual giving campaign strategy
*Other duties as assigned
