Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Elder Service Plan of the North Shore (ESPNS) is an extraordinary and highly-respected organization with a mission to empower frail, vulnerable elders with few resources to remain independent through programs that provide high-quality, community-based healthcare and psychosocial services. Funded by Medicare and Medicaid, it is recognized as one of the best programs of its type in the nation. After 12 years of exemplary leadership, the founding Executive Director will retire this fall, at an exciting and dynamic time for both the organization and the field of community health care for elders.
This is a highly visible and important leadership opportunity; the Board and Staff seek a strategic, creative and energetic leader with knowledge and experience in elder services and organizational growth. S/he will be an advocate and visionary, with a passionate and profound belief in the organization’s mission. The organization is extremely well-positioned to meet current and future goals: it has a clear mission, a dedicated staff, excellent programs, and the financial strength and flexibility to respond to opportunities. It is envisioned that ESPNS will continue to be a model of community health care for elders recognized for its program and policy leadership on both a local and national level. Building on the organization’s unique culture and past successes, the new Director will use innovation, adaptability and smart business practices to enhance and expand its services and impact.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
•A credible leader with proven success leading fast-paced, multifaceted organization(s) with complex administrative, operational and service demands;
•An entrepreneur, skilled at recognizing and creating opportunities and leveraging resources; able to build momentum around ideas and initiatives;
•A convener and exceptional relationship builder;
•Experience in, and knowledge of, elder services and health care; committed to the mission.
