Description:
Our client is seeking an Executive Assistant to the President. This individual will be a lynchpin of the infrastructure of the organization, responsible for providing the President with comprehensive administrative support. He/she will report directly to the President. There may be some additional calendar and administrative responsibilities related to other members of the leadership team, but the Assistant’s primary responsibility will be maintaining oversight over the President’s time and helping the President work most effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain ownership of President’s calendar, articulating appropriate trade-offs and balancing competing commitments in relation to the President’s priorities
- Oversee and monitor extensive travel schedule of the President (e.g., develop thorough itineraries, ensure that all reservations/arrangements are made, develop and maintain contingency plans)
- Serve as liaison for relevant professional relationships – serve as the “voice of” Echoing Green, as it relates to President’s commitments and calendar
- Take dictation and draft business correspondence, including memos, letters and email
- Maintain an organized tracking system of tasks and projects for President
- Handle confidential and non-routine information with sensitivity, including occasional personal matters for the President
Additional Qualifications:
The Executive Assistant must be an empathetic, resourceful, and highly responsible individual with a high degree of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have experience in a support role within a fast-paced environment. Experience in resource-constrained, entrepreneurial organizations (non-profits, startups) would be advantageous, but is not required for the role.
Other requirements:
- Responsible, even-tempered, and detail-oriented, with high standards of performance
- Personable, engaging presence, with diplomacy, tact and good humor
- Collaborative and inclusive – a valued team member whose presence inspires others to high standards of professional conduct and mutual respect
- Interest in issues of social entrepreneurship a plus, but not required
