Duties:
• Provide case management, counseling and support services to eligible TANF youth and adults recipients.
• Provide instruction that includes but it not limited to academic preparation, job readiness skills, seeking & retaining employment & cover letter &resume development, effective communication skills, personal health care issues, problem solving techniques, community resources & social skills.
• Facilitate the delivery of student support for participants
Qualifications:
• Masters’ degree in Counseling, Adult Ed. or related field preferred.
• 2-4 yrs. counseling/case management exp. working w/ adult pop.
• Case management & crisis intervention preferably working w/ TANF & economically disadvantaged pop.
• Exp. conducting workshops & presentations.
• Exp. in creating & maintaining successful working partnerships/collaborations.
• Proficient (working knowledge) in Microsoft Office suite and possess the ability to use the internet as an instructional tool.
• Some local travel, weekend and evening hours required
• Bilingual a plus
