Description:
Hearts & Homes for Youth, a non profit organization serving youth and families throughout Maryland, is seeking a full time Program Development Specialist. The Program Development Specialist is responsible for research and development of new and/or innovative programs or services and for the expansion/enhancement of existing programs. The immediate priorities include the recruitment, training, and licensing of foster parents for our mother/baby and treatment foster care programs. Experience with use of media resources such as press releases, development of brochures, distribution of fliers and posters in the community, presentation to community groups, and creation of advertisements for newspapers and online postings is required. The position requires travel between Silver Spring and Baltimore. Hearts & Homes for Youth offers training, supervision, and competitive benefits. Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Prior experience working with youth a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication
Excellent computer skills.
