Description:
For more than 100 years, Lighthouse International has been enabling people of all ages who are blind or partially sighted to lead independent and productive lives. Lighthouse International is a leading resource worldwide on vision impairment and vision rehabilitation.
We currently have an opening for an Administrative Assistant in our Volunteer Resources Department.
The Administrative Assistant will provide direct assistance to the Vice President, Volunteer Resources to help ensure continuity with all internal business operations. In addition the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:
• Assisting with the Volunteer Intake Process and providing administrative support to all volunteer programs, events, and committees
• Coordinating the Scholarship and Career Award application process and program
• Coordinating the Internship application process
• Identifying volunteer needs and initiate requests for volunteers
• Assisting in compiling information and data for bi-monthly and annual reporting
Additional Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least three years experience working with senior level staff and volunteers. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel and having excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills are a must. BA preferred.
