Description:
Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ), a nonprofit member organization dedicated to supporting the education, research, animal care, and sustainability mission of the Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park, is seeking a Program Supervisor for volunteer programs to recruit, interview, train, schedule and evaluate volunteers. Also develops volunteer training, acts as staff liaison, monitors budgets & track statistics. Candidates must have 2 years experience with volunteer, training or education programs, preferably in a Zoo setting; strong employee relations, communications, organizational & excellent Word and Excel skills. BA/BS in education, zoology, biology or related field preferred. Competitive salary, benefits, metro access & free parking.
