Description:
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with managers in determining job specifications for vacant positions and finalize job descriptions
• Draft job ads for approval and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Screen incoming resumes according to specifications and conduct screening interviews (phone or face to face) according to specifications
• Forward qualified resumes with recommendations to managers for further review and assist managers with interview and selection process
• Liaison between program department and finance department to determine position and salary
• Resolve hiring issues as they arise
• Regularly report status of current recruitment efforts to Human Resources Director
• Maintain current job descriptions and work with managers update job descriptions when needed
• Schedule and participate in job fairs
• Establish relations with colleges/universities career offices, non-profit organizations and other employment services
• Conduct new employee orientations
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external resources and enhance quality and diversity of applicants
• Manage pre-employment documents and ensure compliance
• Prepare EEO-1, Supply and Service and other required reports
• Process H1-B visas and permanent residence applications
• Keep policy, poster and other documents updated regarding changes in employment law
• Respond to unemployment claims and follow up as needed
• Distribute exit surveys, follow up as needed and compile responses
• Prepare quarterly turnover statistics
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Three years experience in Human Resources required
• Two years experience in recruitment required
• Experience in non-profit preferred
• Excellent communications and organizational skills
• Excellent knowledge of computers, including, Microsoft Office suite and the Internet
