Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for day to day operations of health center and for monitoring flow of health center in order to maximize patient visits and revenue. This includes indirect supervision of health center staff, maintaining productivity and efficiency expectations, compliance standards, and patient satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
•Receives and meets daily clinic goals given by Center Managers or Regional Director. Utilizes resources to meet goals, will effectively communicate problems to Center/Regional manager when goals are not met. Also provides feedback to managers regarding performance issues or other clinical problems.
•Serves as contact person for immediate staff issues in the absence of the Center Manager.
•Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely patient schedules, including scheduled and walk in appointments. Triages appointments to maintain efficiency.
•Encourages, builds, and maintains a positive team oriented work environment.
•Ensures that providers and staff receive appropriate breaks and meal periods.
•Consistently provides and ensures that excellent customer service is maintained in conjunction with efficient and quality patient care.
•Fully trained and functional in financial specialist skills, knowledge, and duties. In the absence of the Center Manager, has the authority to make financial adjustments to patient accounts after consulting with the Center Manager or Regional Director. Works closely with Center Manager and financial specialist to maintain current knowledge of a wide range of financial issues.
•Knows the work of other departments and staff within PPCW. Supports and fosters respect and positive inter departmental relationships.
•Participates in co-worker feedback process for staff evaluations.
•Responsible for creative problem solving and strategic thinking. Identifies available resources for addressing day to day problems and challenges.
•Responsible for a high level of communication and for maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when faced with conflict or confusion/disorder.
•Works as a Medical Assistant when needed, even if scheduled as Shift Lead.
•Responsible for maintenance of office equipment and identifies resources to effectively fix other structural issues (general maintenance of lab equipment and clinic space).
•Demonstrates consistent reliability in all areas of work.
•Acts in a professional manner at all times.
•Maintains high level of commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service.
•Participates in abortion services. Participation can include referrals, information and education about abortions (counseling, assisting, scheduling) etc.
•Performs other duties as assigned by Center Managers or Regional Director, including administrative tasks, as needed.
•Needs to be able to meet the physical demands of sitting/ walking/ standing/ performing repetitive movements of the hand up to 8 hours per day, reach above/below shoulder height up to 2 hours per day, and move items weighing up to 25 pounds/kneel/crawl/bend at waist/squat less than 1 hour per day.

Technology/Tools: Ability to use various computer systems and applications including background in electronic practice management systems and electronic health care records.
Education/Experience Required:
Position requires a one year as Patient Service Staff/ Medical Assistant or healthcare experience. Outgoing, professional, positive attitude with proven ability to contribute effectively to highly functioning work teams.
