Hagar USA is a 501c3 organization that exists to support the work of Hagar International overseas. Primarily a fundraising entity, Hagar USA is the key contact for United States individuals, organizations, and churches regarding Hagar's services, programming and needs.

The Development Associate is a new position in the growing Hagar USA office. The Development Associate will provide behind-the-scenes support for development activities and also function as the key contact for certain constituency groups in the United States (volunteers, churches, and visitors overseas). Also, the Development Associate will be responsible for maintanence of Hagar USA website (through user-friendly content management system) and leading Hagar USA effort to utilize social networking tools and other existing and emerging web-based communication strategies.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, English, liberal arts, or another applicable field.

Other requirements include: at least three years' work experience in a position that required strong communication and organizational skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for establishing and maintaining relationships through email and phone; proven ability to interact sensitively and effectively with people of different backgrounds; suppport for the Christian identity of Hagar International.
