JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to a Program Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the State, Local and Tribal (SLT)-Based Domestic Security: Building Information Sharing Capacity from the Ground Up project. This Bureau of Justice Assistance-funded initiative will facilitate the following:

?Providing a baseline understanding of information sharing, the role of SLT law enforcement, and the implementation of intelligence-led policing and suspicious activity reporting.
?Enhancing information sharing and regional law enforcement collaboration while ensuring privacy and protecting civil rights.

?Fostering an organizational culture that recognizes the importance of fusing all-crimes and all-hazards information.

Key deliverables under the effort include: development of in-person and online curriculum, implementation of training and national targeted outreach to inform law enforcement executives.

Specific responsibilities include:

?Manage development and delivery of products/training designed to heighten police administrators’ understanding of information sharing.

?Conduct educational presentations at national forums, public and private-sponsored working groups, IACP committee and Section meetings, and other relevant events

?Build and sustain productive collaborations with state, local and tribal agencies, federal entities, law enforcement associations, IACP Committees and Sections and other key stakeholders.

?Prepare detailed work and evaluation plans to achieve project objectives and measure progress/success.

?Monitor contract/consultant performance.

?Ensure rules-compliant investment and control of project budgets.

?Maintain communication with program advisors in development and delivery of efforts.

?Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or S&P Director.

Additional Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? Bachelor’s degree in a project-relevant field required. Master’s degree is preferred.

? Minimum of five years job-relevant experience. Role in managing national scope grant(s), ideally DOJ funded, is a preferred experience.

? Minimum computer skills required include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.

? Core knowledge and skill competencies sought are: contemporary knowledge of homeland security and information sharing; project development and management; understanding of police operations. Excellent writing, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential.

? Supervisory experience is required.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Occasional travel may be required
• This is a grant funded position for which continuation funding will be sought
