Pathways to Housing Inc., is a large, well- regarded, national leader in the housing first, not-for-profit agency .We provide a range of housing, clinical and support services throughout the NY and PA metropolitan and are now proud to announce that we are hiring to staff a new Housing First ACT Team based in Burlington, Vermont, in Chittenden County .We seek individuals who are patient, creative, flexible, compassionate and experienced to provide sensitive, caring services and support to the homeless population with mental health/ substance abuse challenges

The Program Assistant is a team member who provides administrative, clerical and reception support for the ACT Team and Medical Staff. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate, manage and ensure the efficeint operation of Team office
•Serve as Receptionist for ACT Team
•Provide computer/secretarial support to the Team and medical staff
•Purchase, distribute and mange staff and consumer transportation needs
•Coordinate timely/accurate check request submission, distribution and reimbursement
•Manage petty cash in accordance with the guidelines established by the CFO
•Update and maintain consumer record and office filing systems
•Maintain an update relevant databases
•Prepare and submit monthly level of service and other required reports, as directed, to relevant licensing agencies and funding sources
•Participate in daily ACT Team meetings
•Collaborate with Supported Employment Specialist to provide on-site supervision for Tenant Workers
•Assist with coordination of consumer recreational activities
•Develop and update medical/nursing record forms under the supervision of the Director of Medical Services and Nursing Team Leader
•Coordinate monthly submission/distribution of consumer budget payments
•Collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy of consumer budgets and accounts
•Maintain inventory of program supplies; coordinate ordering with Finance department
•Order medical supplied in coordination with Medical Director and Nursing Team Leader
•Prepare medical supplies, books and medication boxes for new consumers
•File medication log sheets, orders and discharge papers as directed by Nursing Team Leader
•Perform related work as assigned

Additional Qualifications:

-Patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion and sensitivity to persons with disabilities and other minority populations
-Excellent communication and writing skills as well as computer literacy (experience with financial spread sheet a plus)
-Excellent typing skills and knowledge of office equipment
