Description:
In April 2006, Alaska Trails and our partners (Sitka Trail Works, City of Homer, NPS Rivers and Trails Program, Alaska Recreation and Park Association, Anchorage Municipality's Heritage Land Bank, Homer Coalition for Open Space and Trails, Bureau of Land Management, Fairbanks North Star Borough) brought trail expert Troy Duffin, of Alpine Trails LLC (www.alpine-trails.com), to Alaska to communicate how real estate developers can realize the economic benefits of trails. Widely hailed as a success, Troy traveled from Homer to Anchorage and to Fairbanks to tell and show the public and land developers how trails can enhance both individual developments and their surrounding communities.
To further spread this important message, Alaska Trails, with assistance from the NPS Rivers and Trails program, produced a DVD of Troy's April 3 presentation to the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. If you would like a copy(s) of the DVD, Alaska Trails is requesting a $10 suggested donation to cover shipping, handling, and production costs for each DVD.
