Founded in 2004, the San Francisco Family Support Network (SFFSN) supports the development of the
Family Support field in San Francisco. The SFFSN builds the field by providing the vehicle for community based
organizations, public departments, private funders and parents to promote the use of best and promising practices under the Family Support Principles in all service delivery and policy agendas,
to create enhanced peer support, and to advocate for policies and programs that will help to meet the health,
educational, safety, and environmental needs of all of San Francisco’s families. Ultimately, the SFFSN is designed to increase stakeholders’ Capacity, Coordination, Collaboration, Communication and Accountability.
