The Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW) is a non-profit corporation committed to fostering high professional standards and sound educational practices at and among its member schools. The Association’s programs for school heads, administrators, teachers and trustees encourage collegiality, the exchange of ideas, cooperation, mutual support, and professional development.

Governed by a Board of Trustees chosen from heads of schools representing the institutional diversity of the organization’s membership, the Association seeks to enrich and sustain the high quality of education offered to the thousands of students served by its member schools.

The Association provides its membership broad educational perspectives through its collaboration with independent, parochial and public schools as well as educational organizations on the local, regional, and national levels.
