Mission:
The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and families. Through public education and advocacy the National Partnership promotes fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family. Founded in 1971 as the Women's Legal Defense Fund, the National Partnership has grown from a small group of volunteers into one of the nation's most powerful and effective advocates for women and families. Working with business, government, unions, nonprofit organizations, and the media, the National Partnership is a voice for fairness, a source for solutions, and a force for change.
