The Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame's purpose is to recognize great Mississippi musicians through inductions, events, publications, school curriculums, and multi-media productions.
The organizations also has a fund to help needy Mississippi musicians.

Because of the storms that hit the Mississippi Gulf coast, the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame,with many national and state organizations, started a project to replace musicial instruments lost by students and professional musicians.
