Mission:

Freunde der Erziehungskunst Rudolf Steiners e.V.(Friends of Waldorf Education) is an organisation supporting Waldorf education, curative pedagogic, social therapy and social action throughout the world.

Headquartered in Berlin (DE), we offer financial and legal support to waldorf and anthroposoph educational initiatives world-wide. Until now we have given support to more than 400 initiatives in well over 60 countries. Our office in Karlsruhe (DE) provides international voluntary services. One of our voluntary year-of-service programs is to host vounteers from all over the world in Germany.

Since its founding in 1971, Friends of Waldorf Education has helped to promote the development of independent alternatives in education world-wide.

The Berlin office stay in contact with the many institutions world-wide and is collecting and distributing donations. A newsletter reports about development of projects twice yearly. Advisory meetings, conflict management and conferences on Waldorf pedagogy are also organised from Berlin.

Our office in Karlsruhe arranges and supervises internships. These are normally designed for German high school graduates wishing to undertake a year of voluntary work abroad, as well as people of all ages from around the world to volunteer in Germany.
