The mission of Iowa Legal Aid is to secure a full measure of justice in public and private affairs for low-income persons with emphasis on legal problems involving basic necessities, fundamental rights or safety. Iowa Legal Aid seeks to improve the lives of people living in poverty by providing high quality legal services and empower clients with self-advocacy skills through legal education. Iowa Legal Aid strives to treat all people with respect and dignity and works to dispel prevailing myths and misconceptions about low-income people. Iowa Legal Aid, as a provider of legal services statewide, is made up of a network of ten regional office, located in Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, Iowa City, Mason City, Ottumwa, Sioux City and Waterloo, Iowa.
