Mission:
Founded in 1970, Visual Communications is the premier Asian Pacific media arts center in the nation. The mission of VC is to promote intercultural understanding that media and the arts are important vehicles to organize and empower communities, build connections between generations, challenge perspectives and create an environment for critical thinking necessary to build a more just and humane society.
The organization also runs the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival. Now in its 25th year, the Festival is Southern California's premier showcase for films and videos by Asian Pacific American and Asian international cinema artists.
