Mission:
Beit New York-Jerusalem is a Partnership 2000 Jerusalem-New York program. It is all about "creating connections" between New York visitors to Jerusalem and Jerusalemites.
Beit New York-Jerusalem serves as a resource and information center for New York visitors to Jerusalem, Israel, and offers volunteer placement in such fields as teaching English; caring for the elderly; helping underpriviledged youth, and joining hospital volunteers' staff. Beit New York-Jerusalem also arranges "get-togethers" and joint art projects (" Connecting Through Art" Projects) between New York groups visiting Jerusalem and Jerusalemites. Beit New York-Jerusalem provides home hospitality and Jerusalem information to New York visitors to Jerusalem.
This Partnership 2000 project is a joint program of the UJA-Federation of New York, The Jewish Agency for Israel's Israel Department, and the Municipality of Jerusalem.
