Mission:
The Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic was founded in 1991 by a group of health care practioners and friends of women with cancer. We provide free Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) treatments to low-income women with cancer. Treatment and services include acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy, massage therapy, therapeutic imagery, and social work assistance. By providing CAM care to women with cancer, we hope to ease the burden of cancer and its treatment as well as to empower women in making health care choices. All services are provided by licensed, certified volunteers.
