JFF is a progressive family foundation. JFF operates national grantmaking programs in the areas of environmental health and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender issues and local grantmaking programs in the State of Vermont and the communities of New York City and Suffolk County (NY), Pittsburgh (PA) and Telluride (CO). With assets of $92 million, JFF awarded 142 grants totaling $4.1 million in 2007.
