The Refugee Experience Series is a grassroots volunteer endeavor based in the Washington, DC area aimed at building cultural awareness of the personal experiences of global refugees through film and discussion events.
Our Principal Activities:
Think globally, act locally to raise awareness of the refugee immigrant issue through film and discussion events. (Refugees as well as NPOs/NGOs assisting refugees are typically invited to these events to speak on the discussion panel portion of each event.)
We encourage interested individuals to continually learn more and take action to help this population in their local area or globally.
We would like to broaden activities to online group discussions about the refugee issue. We host regular activities and events throughout the year. Some activities, such as our refugee focused bookclub, are organized through online discussions so it doesn't matter where you live. We invite interested individuals to visit our website regularly for details.
