The Friends of the Multnomah County Library runs this small used bookstore inside the lobby of our central library in beautiful downtown Portland. The Friends is a grassroots organization that advocates for the library. The purpose of the bookstore is to spread the word about the Friends', promote literacy, fundraise for the library and especially to generate community involvement by offering a substantial volunteer project for people to take part in.
