Hi, my name is Jill Winters. I am the Programs Director for the Amala Foundation, a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving communities around the world and in our hometown of Austin, Texas. The primary focus of the work is service as an act that liberates not only the person being served, but really liberates the person who is serving. Service is our deepest connection to Life, and gives us a way to express gratitude every day of our lives.
The Foundation's programs span a few areas of focus:
1) Serving the Youth
2) Bridging Global Communities
3) Transformation of the Self

Our current international programs work with a village in Nigeria to supply clean drinking water and a school in Delhi, India whose goal is to end the practice of child labor in that area.
