Mission:

Childhelp's mentor program provides youth and young adults, ages 10-22, who are involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice system, the opportunity to positively interact with an adult mentor. Commitment is two hours per week, for one year. Childhelp Michigan's mentor program is community-based, where mentor and mentee plan activities encompassing education, career exploration, life skills development, game playing and going to sporting events, entertainment or cultural events. Connecting youth to resources and opportunities with other agencies and community services enables them to learn needed skills for adult living. In making these connections it also adds to an individual youth's support system. Childhelp Michigan also coordinates group mentoring activities.
