Mission:
The IUPUI Office of Community Service (OCS) coordinates and supports meaningful community service opportunities for students, faculty and staff. OCS encourages volunteers to take active and responsible roles in civic life; creates mutually beneficial partnerships with community agencies; and supports IUPUI’s civic engagement mission. Programs are designed to focus on community service, political involvement and social issue advocacy.
OCS maintains a lively, student-focused environment with a strong commitment to creating a nationally recognized community service program. OCS coordinates the Sam H. Jones Community Service Scholarship program, one of the largest service-based scholarship programs in the nation.
