CHILD SURVIAL-PROGRAM
DAOS CHILDREN CENTRE
is a non-profit transitional care centre aimed at reducing homelessness,hunger,malnutritionaldiseases/deaths, diseases, illiteracy, bereavement,emotional and psychological issues in orphans and abandoned infants.
The project will assist more than 500 children from the surrounding community.
>We want to establish the centre into units based on family models where trained houseparents care for 8-10 children ranging in age from infancy to 10 years,giving children sense of belonging to the community .This system assists children who have no other means of support and some times are transitioned into foster parents families.
>Every effort is made to transition the children to their living relatives family care to help prepare the children for life outside instition and increase the potential that families will open their homes to children.Such families are assisted with based needs to help them stay safely with the children under their care.
>Caregivers who work,go to school,elderly,ill require respite,support groups,training workshops,to allow them to share their hardships,and learn to meet children's emotional and developmental needs.
>To make this success,we are looking for funds,to buy a portion of land and develop it to provide housing for children with no other means of support and our volunteers,plant fruits
and vegetables,keep commercial layers and dairy animals.We ned supplies of food,clothings,stationery,learning computers, mattresses,beds,sheets,medicines,
>Volunteer opportunities:medical service providers,teachers,trainers,counselors,fundraisors,painters,carpenters,marsons,chefs,legal service providers,friends,visitors,advisers,,others are also welcome.
