Awamaki U.S. engages in, supports and promotes community development in the district of Ollantaytambo, Cusco, Peru. Awamaki U.S. engages in a number of activities towards achieving its goal. We operate a volunteer program that recruits international volunteers and arranges their placements and homestays in Ollantaytambo communities. We also develop local community development programs in the Ollantaytambo district, in particular programs designed to assist impoverished indigenous women weavers and programs that will offer children’s enrichment and community cultural and educational events.

Awamaki U.S. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our U.S. office is in Washington State; our operations are based in Ollantaytambo, Cusco, Peru.
