Since 1968, thousands of UI employees and affiliated scholars have taken part in national debates, ranging from lack of health coverage to the failure of high schools to graduate more minorities. Our studies have influenced numerous policy decisions, including how the homeless are counted, how government measures discrimination, and who pays at tax time.
