Mission:

The Israeli Center for Youth Volunteerism strives to promote youth volunteerism in Israel. The Center perceives youth volunteerism and youth involvement in Israeli society as an enormous educational, social, value-rich and economic resource, capable of coping with the difficulties and divisions in Israeli society and as a catalyst for building a more stable and healthier society. The Center aims to maximize the number of adolescents volunteering, the areas in which youth volunteering and the number of organizations which engage youth volunteers. To accomplish these goals, the Center engages in training and consulting for organizations that involve youth volunteers, undertakes research on the topic of youth volunteerism, houses a resource center, advocates for changes in legislation that will facilitate increased volunteerism, and encourages youngsters to volunteer.
