Mission:
Mercy Volunteer Corps invites women and men to compassionate service with people who are economically poor or marginalized in our society. MVC places volunteers in 10 U.S. cities for a one-year commitment and in Guyana, South America for a two year commitment. Volunteers serve in education, healthcare, and social services and commit equally to service, a simple lifestyle in community, and personal and communal spiritual growth. Mercy Volunteers receive housing, medical insurance, transportation, a small food and personal stipend, and school loan deferment. U.S. Volunteers may also be eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award
