Joint Action in Community Service (JACS) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping young adults enter the workforce and become self-reliant. We accomplish our mission with the help of community volunteers who assist former Job Corps students ages 16 - 24 in overcoming their barriers to employment. JACS recruits and trains volunteers to act as advisors providing assistance to youth in the form of advice, encouragement and referrals to community resources. JACS focuses primarily on topics such as affordable housing, accessing healthcare and social services, educational and training opportunities as well as child care and legal services.
