Mission:

The foundation for children at risk was created in 1990 due to the total lack of a therapeutic center for infant autistic children in the greater Tel Aviv area. Thus in 1990 a group of parents of autistic children age two to three joined together with the Tel Aviv Mental Health Center for the purpose of creating the first therapeutic
kindergarten for infant autistic children.
The kindergarten was opened in September 1990, only to be destroyed four months later during the golf war by a scud missile. All specialist in the field of child development stress the following fact, that the most crucial time in the lives of the autistic children is upon diagnosis and if, and only if the children will receive massive treatment (from age two) by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, then, and only then, they stand a chance to improve dramatically.
In Israel, the Government assumes responsibility for the treatment of a child from age six.
