Mission:
Dismas House New Mexico is a non-profit transitional housing program whose purpose is to assist ex-criminal offenders in making a sucessful transition back into society following incarceration. Dismas House is committed to remaining small enough (10 beds for men, 5 for women) to ensure that each resident receives adequate, individual assistance as they struggle to overcome substance and alcohol addictions, negative behavioral patterns, and societal stigmatization. We provide our residents with comfortable, communal housing and three meals a day. Community volunteers play a large part in the resocialization of our residents by preparing and participating in communal meals up to five nights a week.
