Mission:
Friends of Hudson River Park is a private not-for-profit organization that supports the development of Hudson River Park on Manhattan's West Side. Its mission is to provide financial support for a park that will enrich the experience of neighborhood residents, serve as a place of respite for citizens from all parts of New York City, and create a great urban waterfront from 59th Street to the Battery.
Friends works as a partner with the Hudson River Park Trust, the agency responsible for building and operating the Park. Friends' goals are:
to support the Trust
to ensure that the Park is adequately funded and built in accordance with the Hudson River Park Act
to create a broad constituency for the Park
to build a long-term base of support to help sustain Park operations.
