Mission:
The MSC is committed to providing quality opportunities and innovative learning experiences to all who visit, volunteer and work for the organization. To accomplish this, we have established four values essential to complement our philosophy.
Service to Our Visitors and Participants
The primary function of the organization is to provide an educational service to those who visit and attend MSC programs. We will provide visitors with good value for their money, and will never forget that we exist to serve our visitors.
Excellence in Educational Programs
Everything the organization produces is educational in nature—from the classroom programs, planetarium and IMAX productions and exhibitions, to our science store and stage performances. We will strive for excellence in all that we endeavor.
Exciting Experience
The MSC provides educational programs, but we are more than a school. We must attract and engage visitors and participants with exciting, interesting, and pleasurable experiences. Our task is to make learning enjoyable.
Respect for Each Individual Employee and Volunteer
The commitment of the MSC to excellence and service must begin at home, with the staff and volunteer community who are the heart and soul of the organization. We will provide a creative and rewarding environment in which staff and volunteers can interact, grow, and thus serve the public better.
