Description:
ABLE offers a free afterschool and summer camp program to Appalachian children near Kermit, WV. Afterschool students receive homework help, participate in games and crafts, and go on field trips. In the summer, students sign up for week long themed camps. In 2008 ABLE offered survivor, natural living, biggest looser, cooking, and swim camps. These camps and our afterschool program provide a safe place and enriching activities for students in the critical hours that they are most likely to experiment with drugs and alcohol.
