Description:
The medical camps or mobile clinics are offered to communities with little or no access to medical services. the exercise involves diagnosis, treatment and provision of free essential medicines to the low income and underprivileged in the community. We work in collaboration with Doctors Friends of Hesed. These are volunteer Doctors in Kenya. We recently conducted one for the informal settlement, Githembe. The funds were raised from local corporate and well wishers.
Hesed Africa is in partnership with a donor that only ships medicines to Africa for emergency situations but does not fund for logistical needs of diagnosis, treatment. Hesed Africa therefore is seeking for funding or partnership with like minded individuals or organization to be able to conduct the mobile clinics with the drug donations.
We plan to conduct more general mobile clinics and specialty clinics such as eye and dental camps within the yaer 2009.
