Description:
I am currently an American Studies major at Barnard College in NYC (class of 2007), with a concentration in "Youth, Music, and Politics in the Americas". My thesis is dedicated to the study of consumption and dissent.
I am a free-lance PR/outreach consultant for three organizations:
--All City, a graffiti non-profit
--Conscious Lifestyle, a sustainable consumption non-profit
--Volcano Press, an independent book publishing company that publishes books on women's issues and domestic violence prevention.
I spent most of last year traveling through (and studying in) South America. I studied social justice movements in Chile, Peru, and Bolivia, and played Capoeira with my group in Brasil.
I am currently looking for jobs in the field of cause-marketing, so I can continue to pursue my two passions of marketing and social justice causes.
