Description:
My name is Simbara Diawara Currently I do voluntary for Hove YMCA in Hove , England . I have a contract for 1 year. I started on the 6th May 2008 and I’ll finish my contract on the 6th May 2009
So far I’ve been with Hove YMCA for 5 months and it’s been a positive experience. I work mostly with children aged 6 to 12 years and with young people, 13 to 26 years old. With the children I organise and supervise activities – sport, art and craft, outings, board games. With the young people, I do activities to help them find work, as well as helping on the alcohol, and sexual health preventative programme. My other duties at Hove YMCA include helping sometimes with on the baby gym (setting up the room and supervising), doing sport with people with learning difficulties, and helping on the Older People’s programme (catering).
