Been working with international NGOs working in the Humanitarian filed. During these 20 years I have worked in different positions in different places in Sudan with different target groups and with multi disciplinary teams both national and expatriate, this gave me exposure to wide range of developmental concepts, knowledge, skills, approaches and experiences. All development aspects have close relation with human needs e.g in health, education, water and sanitation, livelihoods and emergency programmes. During this long time I have been exposed to different approaches of development like community participation, mobilization, empowerment and involvement and also to top down and bottom up approaches in additional to the milestones of development like human rights and rights claim, environmental sustainability, cooperation, collaboration, networking, learning, participation, gender issues, child rights and sustainability. Moreover I have participated in many training courses; workshops and conferences internal and external, these wide ranging training and courses tackled different areas of skills and knowledge e.g. concept papers/proposal writing, project management cycle, performance management system, income generation and credit etc.

I have spent 19 years continuously working in the field level directly dealing with peoples in their communities helping them assessing their needs, come up with priorities and work together to solve their problem by themselves and take control over their own development process that gave me good experience of community work approaches and techniques.
