KNOM Radio invites recent college graduates and young adults who deeply feel the desire to serve rural Alaskan villages through the power of positive radio. Our sole mission is to uplift the human spirit. We strive to do this by educating, inspiring, entertaining and informing 24 hours a day seven days a week.
KNOM's companionship and support is a welcomed gift to those living in rural Alaska.

Positions: Radio Announcers, Producers, News Reporters, Music Directors

Length of Service: One year, renewable

Requirements: Recent college graduate. Must be committed to serving others, compassionate, dedicated and able to get along well with others. Prior broadcasting experience is not necessary, however, applicants must be able to read & speak clear, unaccented English.

Financial Arrangements: Round trip air transportation, room & board allowance, monthly stipend, health insurance. KNOM Radio Fellowship Award.

Living Arrangements:
Private bedroom in a seven bedroom house.

Size of Program: Three to five volunteers, depending on station needs, all whom work at KNOM Radio.

Training: Two weeks upon arrival
