Description:
The Society of the Cincinnati is currently seeking museum volunteers to lead public tours of Anderson House, a 1905 Beaux Arts mansion in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and a National Historic Landmark that serves as the Society's headquarters and museum. Tours usually last 45 minutes to 1 hour. No previous experience is required, but most volunteers have an interest in fine and decorative arts, architecture or history. Fluency in a foreign language is a valued asset for leading tours, as we often have groups from embassies and other foreign associations, but is not required. Museum volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. There is no minimum time commitment required to volunteer.
